Meet Becky

Becky is the founder of Grounded Peace and is dedicated to its aims of helping people heal in whichever way feels right for them.

Becky is a certified and insured Integral Sound Healing Practitioner (having trained with the Sound Healing Academy International), associate teacher and tutor with the Sound Healing Academy International, Highly Qualified Musician (BA Hons in Music) with the Honours focusing on Vocal Performance, Qualified 200hr YTT Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher, Qualified Rose Priestess with the Magdalene Rose Temple & Priestess of Goddess with Motherhouse of the Goddess, Vocal Channel & Psychic, Women's Moon & Drum Circle Facilitator, Chakra Dancing & Creative Meditation Therapist, Sacred Oil Practitioner and Reiki Healer.

Sound and Music have always played a distinct and important role in Becky’s life. Being a highly qualified Musician, previously a Music Teacher in Secondary & Primary education as well as a Sound Healing Practitioner and Teacher she knows more than most about the profound healing effects sound and music can have on the body and mind. When doing Sound Healing she intuitively feels which instruments to play and how to play them. Becky is predominately drawn to playing the Crystal Singing Bowls, Shamanic Buffalo Drum and using her, as has been described by many, ‘Haunting...Ancestral...Otherwordly Voice’ to channel whatever comes to her for the benefit of all. “Sound has such a profound effect of healing the body’s energy, mind and soul and it’s so wonderful to be able to share the beauty of Sound Healing with everyone to help them on their healing journey”.

With her Priestess work Becky shows devotion Goddess through ritual practice and her work, study, interweaving it into her events and through regular offerings such as vocal channelling and psychic work, sound, meditation and mantra offerings.

Also being a trained therapist of Chakra Dancing and Creative Meditation she truly believes dancing through the chakras can release so much blocked energy in the body and there is nothing more freeing than dancing with no inhibitions and completely releasing the body to help rebalance its energy.

Becky also likes to host drum circles. Through her events, classes, workshops, educational sound healing workshops and even when teaching Samba drumming as her time as a Teacher of Music in Secondary Education she has helped spread the word of the healing power of the drum to a multitude of people for many years. Showing and sharing with people how they can use the healing power of rhythm and drums has been a passion of hers for some time now.

Becky also completed her 200 hour RYT training in Goa, India after practicing Yoga for many years and wanting to share its healing benefits with the world. “For me, it’s not just about the physical asana practice in Yoga that’s important but coming back to the breath, the present moment and being at one with the self. That’s where the true healing and self-acceptance growth occurs”.

And she also loves to travels and has been travelling and backpacking around the world to countries such as Bhutan, India, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaiian Islands, Thailand and many European and American cities and countries. She has a dedicated daily meditation practice, eats a plant based diet and also loves to perform, write music and create drum beaters and art in her spare time.

“Holistic therapies have had such a profound and life changing effect on my life. They have allowed me to trust in my intuition and completely change my life to now follow what is my true-life calling. It has brought me to a place of peace, love and harmony and true belief in the oneness of all life and that we are all at one with the universe”.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others” – Mahatma Gandhi.
