Who is running the Priestess of Sound course?
The Priestess of Sound Practitioner Training is held by me, Becky Cresswell of Grounded Peace
- Priestess of Goddess with Motherhouse of the Goddess & Sister of Avalon with Glastonbury Goddess Temple Teachings.
- Vocal Channel and Highly Qualified and Experienced Integral Sound Healing Practitioner & Teacher who has taught 200+ people from the UK and beyond the art of Sound Healing.
- Post Graduate Certificate in Music Education and previously a Teacher of Music in Secondary & Primary Education.
- Former Teacher & Tutor for 4 years with the Sound Healing Academy International.
- Professionally Trained Singer & Multi-Instrumentalist (BA Hons in Popular Music) with over 25+ years’ experience of performing, composing and recording music and sound.

Who is the Priestess of Sound course for?
This professional accredited course is for souls who:
Are already walking the Priestess path or other spiritual paths such as Paganism, Druidry or similar paths. Or work with the Wheel of the Year seasons in ceremony and ritual (or who have an understanding of and have done reading and study in this area).
Or are Sound Healers who would like to add a deeper, more spiritual dimension to their Sound work.
In-Person Training Begins April 2026
*Please note, this course is designed for people already walking the spiritual path. We will be working with the Wheel of the Year in this training along with Sound so an understanding of the 8 UK based seasons of the wheel would be needed (I am predominantly trained in the Avalonian Goddess path in the U.K with the Priestess of Avalon Goddess Temple Teachings Glastonbury so I will be working with this particular wheel at the workshops though you don’t have to work with this particular wheel in your case studies and work post course). It would also be helpful if you have had a good amount of participation experience in or preferably led guided meditations and/or journeys. No previous sound healing or instrument/vocal training is needed; this will be explored on the course. And you are welcome to enrol if you have no sound/instrument/music experience.

How is the course structured?
This is a 6-month in-person course with 4 workshop weekends and online tutoring between workshops. The workshops span 10 days altogether.

Weekend One – Fri 24th-Sun 26th April 10am-5pm at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre, Birmingham
Weekend Two – Fri 5th-Sun 7th June 10am-5pm at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre, Birmingham
Weekend Three – Sat 22nd-Sun 23rd August 10am-5pm at Buzzards Valley Woodland Retreat, Tamworth
Weekend Four – Sat 17th-Sun 18th October 10am-5pm at the Birmingham Buddhist Centre, Birmingham
What will we explore at the workshops?

The history of Priestesses of Sound and sacred sound spaces/places.
How to play the instruments such as the frame drum, Tibetan and Crystal singing bowls, voice, chimes, shakers/rattles and more…
Finding your sacred sound soul instruments – which instruments really resonate with you as a Priestess of Sound.
Energy cleansing and protection methods and how to safely and effectively hold space as a Priestess of Sound.
Soothing and releasing instrument techniques to help yourself and others to balance the energy body.
Good practice with instruments - how to set them up, how to store/look after them and most effective playing techniques and instruments for different types of ceremony and ritual work.
Learning the techniques and structure of sound in ceremony and how to hold an effective, intuitive and safe sound space as a Priestess of Sound.
How to use sound in ceremony along with the 8 seasons of the Wheel of the Year and Full/Dark/New Moon Phases.
Experience Ceremonies with Sound by highly experienced Sound Healing Practitioner & Teacher, Professional Musician and Priestess of Goddess Becky of Grounded Peace.
Create your own mini ceremonies with sound during the course.
Learn how to use sound to help open you as a channel and to help yourself and others to receive divine guidance/messages/signs.
How to use your voice intuitively with instruments or acapella.
How to use your voice and instruments out on the land/in nature/at sacred sites for healing and connection.
How to hold a Ceremony with Sound for your fellow trainee Priestesses of Sound and beyond!
How will I be assessed to receive my qualification?
In between the workshop weekends there will be tasks and case studies to complete to demonstrate your learning. You will also be able to book a 30-minute tutoring call (x3 in total) with Becky between the workshop weekends to help answer any questions you may have about your studies.
On the Dedication/Final weekend each trainee Priestess will present a Ceremony with Sound solo/with a partner to their fellow trainee Priestesses so you can all experience the fabulous skills you have learnt over the course of the 6-month training and receive valuable feedback on your journey going forward.
*Please note, Between the weekends there will be tasks and case studies to complete for you to be able to get your qualification and certification on the final Dedication weekend. Completion of these before our final weekend is necessary to dedicate as a Priestess of Sound on our final weekend. It is compulsory for all students to attend all 10 days of the workshops if they wish to complete the course and become a Priestess of Sound.

Birmingham Buddhist Centre
The welcoming and peaceful Birmingham Buddhist Centre in Moseley, Birmingham UK is the heart of a network of spiritual friendships and is based in the inviting and vibrant area of Moseley, Birmingham. The centre is used to practise and teach meditation and Buddhism to anyone who is interested welcoming visits from schools, colleges, interfaith groups and other interested parties.
In his early years J.R.R. Tolkien spent his life in Moseley, saying to have drawn inspiration from the local area in his books, The Lord of the Rings.
The Buddhist Centre is a 10-minute walk from Moseley High Street where there are a selection of shops and eateries. And buses regularly travel (15–20-minute journey) from Birmingham City Centre to Moseley. Here is the link for the bus timetable https://bustimes.org/services/50-birmingham-druids-heath-via-moseley Taxis can also be taken from the City Centre to the Buddhist Centre as well. Parking is also free on Park Road where the Centre is situated.
And if looking for accommodation there are many B&B’s in Moseley, Birmingham, which can be located on Airbnb. Or there is always the option to stay nearer to the City Centre in one of the many hotels located there.
Workshop Locations
Buzzards Valley Woodland Retreat
For the 3rd weekend of our four we will be at the gorgeous nature-based venue of Buzzards Valley Woodland Retreat, Tamworth UK. We really are in the middle of nature in this private location which allows us the space to sound with the elements to our hearts content. The Woodland Retreat is a tranquil and secluded area for groups wishing to immerse themselves in nature.
The venue is also a Nature Reserve and Biodiversity Net Gain site nestled in the Canwell Valley on a 60-acre site with a vineyard of 8,000 vines which was established in 2001, growing seven vine varieties. Buzzards Valley has grown to develop six fishing lakes, a free Nature Trail, a Woodland Retreat, a Bistro and a community of on-site businesses. As this location is in nature participants will need to be physically able to walk in nature terrain and be able to sit on the earth (though you are more than welcome to bring a portable seat/stool).
The parking is free at Buzzards Valley or if coming by public transport (from Birmingham) there are trains travelling from Birmingham New Street to Sutton Coldfield or Tamworth and then it is a short 15-minute taxi ride to the location from either location.
And if looking for accommodation there is the option to camp with your tent or motorhome onsite from £15 per unit per night. This can be book directly with Buzzards Valley (https://www.buzzards-valley.co.uk/). Just let them know you are coming to my workshop in August and they will be happy to help with your enquiries. There are also a variety of B&B’s in Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth or Lichfield a short drive away which can be located on Airbnb or other reputable BnB sites. Or there is always the option to stay in a hotel nearby like Premier Inn Birmingham North (Sutton Coldfield) or Moor Hall Hotel & Spa.
Why am I running this course?
I have felt the calling from Goddess to run this course for many years and now, the time has come. To share and dive deep with you into ancient Sound wisdom and walk the path of the Temple Musicians and Sound Priestesses of places such as Sumeria, Mesopotamia & Egypt, Greece, Hindu Traditions and many other Indigenous Lineages Worldwide from the past all the way up to the present day. It really is an honour to be able to follow in the footsteps of these great Sound Keepers. People who recognised sound as a bridge between the human world and the divine.
And now is the time on this planet for us awaken the power of sound within ourselves, to bring these sacred sounds forwards through ceremony, ritual, in our sacred spaces, sites and Goddess temples to help heal, awaken and bring harmony to the world.
